The Lotus team came close to securing their first win of the season again in race 2 of the Formula V8 3.5 weekend at Circuit Paul Ricard. Roy Nissany experienced a superb Sunday, grabbing his first pole position in the series with an outstanding lap at the end of this morning’s qualifying session. Then, the Israeli driver maintained a consistent lead in the first stint of the race, rejoining in second place after the mandatory pit-stop. Nissany posted a great P2 finish to equal his race 1 result. He now stands fifth in the championship with 74 points.  The next round for the Formula V8 3.5 championship is scheduled for the next 23rd and 24th of July at Silverstone.

“My qualifying lap was tremendous, and the race also started very well. The gap to Egor increased and it looked very bright. I kept going, the pit-stop was done at the end of the window, and I had to fight with Egor. Then I saw Louis in front of me but I didn’t knew if he had stopped or not: they did a good job, let’s try to beat them next time”.
